Testing an old camera by taking pictures of Aalborg

So about a month ago, I borrowed this really cute analog camera from Olympus, without any idea of whether it worked or not. I had a Kodak Gold 200 (I think) in the fridge, so I put 2 and 2 together and took some pictures in Aalborg.

This camera is very point-and-clicky, and the button takes a bit of force to push down. So I expected most of them to get shaken. And most of them were very shaky. However, a few weren't. Most of these few had very bad exposure through. But around 5 pictures turned out nicely. And in this post I will show them off, even through they are not that interesting (I just took pictures of random stuff). A few of the good ones had people in them, so I'm not including them here.

First I took this really nice picture on my way to work. Pretty much all the pictures I took here got overexposed, because the sun was very low. It looked nice in person through. In this picture we can also see all the grime, which I did not clean of the really old pieces of glass.

This next picture I took on a walk during lunch. I think it works better with the way colors are rendered with this film. It also ends up looking like a picture from the past, which is kind of funny. The clouds cover up the grime nicely. This is the Limfjord btw, and in the picture we can see the largest (I think) industrial air-polution factory something something in Denmark.

And then I turned around and looked into the city instead. Not the same vibe, but arguably a much nicer place to be.
